About Sally Osborne.

I’m a general adult psychiatrist with over 20 years’ experience and expertise in treating the full range of mental health problems seen in the adult population. My training and work experience started in the UK and has taken me to Spain, Switzerland, Zambia and now Australia. I’ve also worked in regional and remote areas and with the Indigenous population.

I have full specialist and generalist medical registration with AHPRA and I’m accredited as a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. In addition to this, I am a member of the Australian Medical Association.

Ideologically, I am committed to providing a holistic, person-centred approach, viewing the individual in their familial, social and cultural environment. My first degree was in Psychology, and whilst being skilled with the pharmacological treatments of mental illness, I don't focus on this alone and always consider psychological and lifestyle factors to be very important in an individual’s recovery.

In addition to my clinical commitments, I am an Approved Permanent Impairment Assessor (APIA) through WorkCover WA and an experienced Independent Medical Examiner (IME) providing my unbiased independent opinion.

Medico Legal Experience.

I have extensive experience in medico-legal assessments across a wide range of civil and criminal contexts and provide assessments for several insurance companies, law firms, superannuation funds, government departments and other organisations.

I offer impartial and independent psychiatric assessments, both in-person, in my rooms at Hollywood Private Hospital, and via telehealth.

I have provided reports in the following areas:

  • Abuse & Sexual Abuse Matters

  • Criminal Injuries Compensation

  • Employer Liability

  • NDIA Matters

  • Medical Negligence

  • Motor Vehicle Accidents

  • Personal Injury

  • Public Liability

  • Psychiatry reports for visa applications

  • Workers Compensation & PIA
